These pledges are to be posted in all media centers, computer labs, and classrooms with significant internet usage throughout the district
Activities
These activities will be completed at the beginning of the year as part of the students’ introduction to the computer lab.
K-2
This series of online activities takes young students through the basics of what can be done on the internet and the risks that exist. Students identify different “Webville Outlaws” and what each of these outlaws does on the internet.
3-5
This series of activities shows students the difference between a responsible digital citizen and a “WizzyWig” or irresponsible internet user. Students learn how to identify and avoid dangerous WizzyWigs, and also to avoid becoming one!
Contains additional activities addressing the major topics of the Illinois Internet Safety Act.
