Free Rice

This website has become well known for some time now but it is one I still love to revisit!  Free Rice is a vocabulary game that instinctively adjusts its difficulty level based on how well you are answering each question.  Don’t forget that by playing the game you are also donating 10 grains of rice with each correct answer.  It offers a great challenge to almost any user and offers a chance to facilitate conversations about social awareness.  Win Win!

Vocab Genii

Vocab Genii is a great vocabulary activity that offers an excellent challenge and allows you to track and share your progress with other people.  Both your overall score (based on the number of words you correctly identified) and your word strength (based on the difficulty of the words) are judged.

I would not recommend this site for anyone needing an extra challenge, and the difficulty level can become pretty significant.
